Cookie and tracking notice
Last updated 16 October 2026
This notice is part of the Privacy policy of Cutonce, provided by Juicy Lucy AI, UAB. It applies from 11 October 2026.
Cutonce has four parts, and they behave differently:
- The website at cutoncestudio.com sets no cookie and contains no analytics or advertising tracker. Section 4 applies to it.
- The web app at app.cutoncestudio.com sets no cookie and contains no advertising tracker.
- The quiz, payment and legal pages at quiz.cutoncestudio.com, including this page, set a small number of cookies and record your visit. No advertising pixel runs on them today.
- The Cutonce apps for iPhone and Android measure installs. Section 3 applies only to them.
1. The web app
What the web app stores on your device
The web app keeps a few items in your browser's own storage (local storage and IndexedDB). Each is needed to give you the service you asked for.
- Your session. Keeps you signed in. It holds the tokens issued when you typed your sign-in code. Kept until you sign out. The access token is renewed every hour.
- Your saved state. Your progress, favourites and settings, so that the app works without a connection and opens where you left off. Kept until you sign out or clear your browser data.
- Cached plans and photos. Plans you have opened and photos you have taken, so that they load in the workshop without a connection. Kept until you sign out or clear your browser data.
- Your last known access state. Whether your subscription was active when last checked, so that the app works offline for a short time. Used for up to 7 days after the last check.
Analytics
No analytics tool runs in the web app today. If we switch one on, the app will ask you first, nothing will be loaded or sent until you choose "Allow", and this notice will be updated before that day.
What the web app never does
It sets no cookie. It loads no script, font or tracker from another company. It contains no advertising pixel and sends nothing to any advertising platform.
2. The quiz, payment and legal pages
These pages are run for us by web2wave on quiz.cutoncestudio.com. What follows is what we found when we checked them on 11 October 2026.
What these pages store in your browser
user_id cookie. A random visitor identifier. It carries your answers from one screen to the next and connects a subscription to your account. Kept for 1 year.first_visit cookie. The time of your first visit. Kept for about 13 months.quiz_session and XSRF-TOKEN cookies. Keep the page session going and protect forms against forged requests. Kept for 2 hours.initial_url in local storage. The address of the first page you opened, with any campaign labels that were on the link. Kept until you clear your browser data.- Security cookies from Cloudflare, which delivers and protects these pages for web2wave:
__cf_bm, kept for 30 minutes, and, if Cloudflare shows you a security check, a cookie that remembers you passed it.
What web2wave records
Each page you open and each quiz step you complete is recorded against the visitor identifier, with your network address, the country worked out from it, the type of device and browser, the page you came from and any campaign labels on the link. This is how the quiz works, and how we see how many visitors reach each step.
Files loaded from other companies
Your browser fetches these files directly, so each company receives your network address and the type of browser you use.
- Google Fonts: a typeface that web2wave's page template loads.
- Cloudflare: delivers the pages, serves a script library, and measures how fast the pages load.
- Sentry: reports errors in a page to web2wave.
- flagcdn.com: a small picture of a country flag that the quiz uses.
Payment
When a payment form is shown, it is provided by Stripe. Stripe sets cookies that it describes as essential: to process the payment securely and to detect and prevent fraud. Stripe lists them in its cookies policy.
Advertising measurement
No advertising pixel is loaded on these pages today. If we start to measure advertising here, we will update this notice first, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
3. The apps for iPhone and Android
This section applies only when you use the Cutonce apps for iPhone and Android.
- What the apps store on your phone. The same items as the web app in section 1: your session, your saved state, cached plans and photos, and your last known access state.
- RevenueCat keeps the record of a subscription started through Apple or Google. It receives your account identifier in Cutonce, the store's purchase records and device identifiers.
- AppsFlyer measures which advert led to an install. It receives a device identifier, your network address, the events of installing and opening the app, and subscription events passed on by RevenueCat.
- The tracking permission on iPhone. The app asks for the system's permission to track when you first open it. AppsFlyer receives your phone's advertising identifier only if you allow it. You can change your answer at any time in the iPhone's Settings under "Privacy & Security", "Tracking".
- On Android, you can delete or reset the advertising identifier in the phone's settings.
The Privacy policy says more about both providers in its section 9.
4. The website
The website at cutoncestudio.com is served by Vercel. It loads no script, font or tracker from another company, sets no cookie and sends nothing to any analytics or advertising platform. Vercel handles the technical data of each request, such as your network address, and keeps its own logs of requests.
cutonce.carry in session storage. If the link that brought you carries campaign labels or click identifiers (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term, fbclid, gclid or ttclid), the website keeps them for that browser tab, so that it can add them to the address of the quiz when you follow a link to buy. Kept until you close the tab.- Labels the website adds. If your link carried no campaign label, a link to the quiz gets
utm_source=cutoncestudio, utm_medium=website and the name of the button you used, so that we can see which button brought a visitor. The quiz pages then record them as section 2 describes.
5. Your own controls
You can clear cookies and site data in your browser's settings at any time. Clearing the web app's data signs you out and removes saved state that has not yet reached your account.
