Terms of use

Last updated 13 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Juicy Lucy AI, UAB ("we", "us") for the use of Cutonce. They apply from 11 October 2026. Please read them together with the Subscription terms, the Refund policy and the Privacy policy, which are part of this agreement.

1. Who we are

Cutonce is provided by Juicy Lucy AI, UAB, Tiltų g. 19, LT-91249 Klaipėda, Lithuania. You can reach us at hello@cutoncestudio.com. Our details are in the Imprint.

2. What Cutonce is

Cutonce is an app for people who are new to woodworking. It is offered on the web at app.cutoncestudio.com. Where these terms speak of "the apps", they mean the Cutonce apps for iPhone and Android, and those parts apply to you when you use them.

Cutonce offers:

  • a library of building plans, each with a cutting list, a shopping list, dimensioned drawings and a step-by-step guide, in metric or imperial units;
  • photo tools that use an artificial intelligence service to suggest what a wood or a piece of furniture is, what it might be worth and how it might be repaired;
  • a helper, called Mark, that answers questions about the step you are on. Mark is software, not a person;
  • a record of your own progress, favourites, scans and photos.

One plan is free for everyone. The rest of the library is for subscribers, and so are the photo tools and the helper when they give real answers. Where Cutonce labels a result as a sample, it is an example and not a reading of your photo or your question.

3. Who may use it

You must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live. Cutonce is not aimed at children. It is offered to consumers for private use.

4. Your account

  1. On the web, an account is created for the email address you give when you subscribe. That address is your account. Your sign-in codes and the notices about your subscription are sent to it.
  2. There is no password. You sign in by typing a 6-digit code that we email to your address. Anyone who can read that inbox can sign in, so keep your email account secure.
  3. Please check the address shown on the payment page before you pay. If you typed a wrong address, write to hello@cutoncestudio.com. We will ask for details of the purchase to confirm it is yours before we change the address.
  4. In the apps you can use Cutonce, and subscribe, without giving an email address. The app then keeps an account for you with no email address attached. You can add an email address later. Without one we cannot write to you, and your saved builds, scans and photos may not follow you to a new phone.
  5. Your account is personal. Do not share it or sell access to it.
  6. You may delete your account at any time under Account, "Delete my account". Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. It first cancels a subscription started on the web. It cannot cancel a subscription started through Apple or Google: cancel that one in the store, as the Subscription terms explain.

5. Subscription, price and payment

  1. Access to the full library, the photo tools and the helper needs a subscription. The price, the billing period, any free trial or introductory price, the date of the first charge and the renewal terms are shown to you before you pay. On the web they are also confirmed by email.
  2. A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it.
  3. How the trial, renewal, failed payments and cancellation work is set out in the Subscription terms. Refunds and your right to withdraw are set out in the Refund policy.
  4. For a subscription started on the web, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. A subscription started in the apps is billed by Apple or Google through your account with that store.

6. What you may do with the content

  1. The plans, drawings, texts, photographs and the software belong to us or to those who license them to us.
  2. While you have access, you may use the plans to build the pieces they describe.
  3. You may print or save a plan for your own use in your workshop.
  4. You may not copy, publish, sell or share the plans, drawings or texts themselves, pass them to people who have not paid for them, or extract the content of the library by automated means.

7. Working safely

  1. Woodworking uses sharp and powered tools and can cause serious injury. The plans and guides assume you follow the instructions of your tools, wear suitable protection, and work within your own ability.
  2. You are responsible for checking that a plan suits your purpose, your materials and the place where the piece will be used, and for the soundness of what you build. Dimensions are given with care, but timber varies: measure your own boards before you cut.
  3. A plan is not engineering advice. Do not rely on a piece built from a plan to carry a person or a heavy load unless the plan says it is designed for that.

8. The photo tools and the helper

  1. The photo tools and the helper are powered by an artificial intelligence service. Their answers are estimates. They can be wrong, and they say so when they cannot tell.
  2. A valuation is an indication only. It is not an appraisal, an offer to buy, or advice on which you should buy, sell or insure anything.
  3. A repair suggestion is general guidance. For anything structural, electrical or valuable, ask a qualified person.
  4. To keep the service available to everyone, each account may run up to 10 photo analyses and receive up to 40 answers from the helper a day. We may change these limits. If total use reaches a monthly ceiling, the tools may be unavailable for the rest of that month; the plans and guides stay available.
  5. Send only photos you have the right to send. Do not send photos of other people. The Privacy policy explains what happens to a photo you send.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Cutonce for anything unlawful;
  • try to get access to another person's account or data;
  • interfere with the service, test its security without our written consent, or get around its access controls or limits;
  • upload anything that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's rights, or that contains malicious code.

We may suspend or end access where these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken. Where the law requires it we will tell you why and give you the chance to respond.

10. Availability and changes to the service

  1. We work to keep Cutonce available but cannot promise that it will never be interrupted. Plans you have opened stay usable on your device for a limited time without a connection.
  2. We may add, change or withdraw plans and features. We will not remove the core of what you paid for during a period you have already paid for without offering a remedy the law requires.
  3. We keep Cutonce in conformity with the contract and provide the updates needed for that, as consumer law requires.

11. Changes to these terms and to the price

  1. We may change these terms for a valid reason, such as a change in the law, in the service or in how we provide it. We will tell you before a change that affects you takes effect: by email where we hold an address for you, and on this page. The date at the top shows the latest version.
  2. A change of price for a subscription started on the web applies only from a renewal, and only after we have told you by email in advance, in time for you to cancel before that renewal. If you do not accept the new price, you may cancel before the renewal and will not be charged it.
  3. For a subscription started in the apps, the store tells you about a change of price under its own rules.

12. Our liability

  1. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer law.
  2. Subject to that, we are liable for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care, and not for loss that was not foreseeable, that was caused by a third party or by events outside our control, or that arises from using Cutonce other than as these terms describe.
  3. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital services, are not affected.

13. Ending the agreement

  1. You may stop using Cutonce at any time, cancel your subscription as described in the Subscription terms, and delete your account.
  2. When a subscription ends, the free plan stays open to you, and your saved builds, scans and photos stay readable while your account exists.

14. Apple and Google

These terms are an agreement between you and us only. Apple and Google are not parties to it and are not responsible for Cutonce, its content or its support. When you get an app from a store or subscribe through it, the store's own terms apply to your use of the store.

15. Law and disputes

  1. These terms are governed by the law of Lithuania. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
  2. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.
  3. Please write to hello@cutoncestudio.com first. Most problems are solved faster that way.
  4. If we cannot settle a complaint with you, you may ask the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority of Lithuania (Valstybinė vartotojų teisių apsaugos tarnyba, www.vvtat.lt) to resolve the dispute out of court.
